We are accepting applications from students interested in pursuing graduate degrees and have several assistantships available.
We offer an attractive package that includes a competitive stipend, waiver of tuition and college fees, and university-provided health insurance. The department consists of 15 tenure and tenure-track faculty with diverse interests and expertise that supports student research in three core areas: (1) nature-society dynamics, (2) cultural-historical geography, and (3) geographic information science including unmanned aerial systems (UAS). The department has recently developed an interdisciplinary UAS research area with several faculty in the department actively doing research and teaching in this area with colleagues across campus.
Strong-performing undergraduates are especially encouraged to apply to the MS program, which does not require a bachelor’s degree in Geography to be considered for admission.
To apply, students must submit all documents through OSU’s online application portal managed by the Graduate College (gradcollege.okstate.edu/apply); further information about the graduate program can be found at geog.okstate.edu/programs/graduate-program. Oklahoma State University is an equal opportunity institution (https://eeo.okstate.edu/).
Completed applications for Spring 2020 must be submitted by November 1, 2019.
