The U.S. Census Bureau in the divison of popluation is looking for people with geography skills and related fields for employment.
Located in Washington DC area, the Census HQ has openings offering qualified applicants an opportunity to work on a range of projects, including: analyzing and mapping the distribution of population and population change globally and in the U.S.; geo-demographic activities using statistical units such as metropolitan areas, counties, states, and their foreign equivalents; producing population estimates for other countries and studying their demographic characteristics at various geographic scales; and developing image analysis methodologies for high-resolution population mapping.

- Training is GIS
- Training in population geography or demography
- Training in remote sensing/ satellite image analysis
- Training in Urban geography
- Any other related specialties
- Required U.S. citizenship
Level of completed education and experiance fluctuates salary.
